Amanda is a highly accomplished and experienced professional actress, director, and tutor, boasting an impressive 25-year career in the theatrical industry. Her academic background includes a Degree in Dramatic Art from Queen Margaret University, which she earned in 1991.
Throughout her extensive career, Amanda has worked with numerous theatre and arts companies across the UK, including Perth Theatre, Dundee Rep, Royal Lyceum, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Derngate Theatre Northampton, Kings Theatre Edinburgh, Eden Court Inverness, and His Majesty's Aberdeen. Her television credits include notable roles in High Road, River City, Souls of Sea, and Taggert.
Amanda furthered her education by earning a Master's Degree in Arts In Social Contexts from the Royal Conservatoire Scotland in 2004. Her key interests lie in Creative Learning, Directing, Performance, Writing, Composition, and Production, which she utilizes to facilitate personal development, team building, and confidence growth as a Workshop leader, creative director, teacher, and skill developer.
For the past decade, Amanda has been teaching drama to children and adults in Perth, and has directed the Perth Amateur Operatic Society for five years, with her next project currently in development. Following her academic pursuits, Amanda shifted her focus towards community work, empowering individuals of all ages to realize their potential. This led to the establishment of Theatre Arts School in 2010.
