André Mattos, a renowned Brazilian actor, has had a prolific career spanning over three decades. Born to theater actors Emílio and Zélia de Mattos, André was destined for the stage. With hundreds of plays under his belt, he has become a household name in Brazil, starring in notable comedy series such as O Quinto dos Infernos and Senhora do Destino.
André's breakthrough role was as Fortunato in Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, for which he won the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro for Best Supporting Actor. This caught the attention of Hollywood and director José Padilha, who invited André to participate in the first season of NARCOS (Escobar story).
