Andrew Lawrence Astor's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 5 and a half years old. As a happy, friendly, and outgoing child, he was noticed by a woman who approached his mother on set, asking to take his photo for a film project in Arizona, titled "The Kingdom", directed by Peter Berg and starring Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman. After the filming experience, Andrew expressed his enthusiasm for acting and, in January 2007, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he secured a recurring role on the TV series "Dirty Sexy Money" starring William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland just six weeks later.
Throughout the next few years, Andrew worked on a variety of national TV commercials, TV shows, and feature films, including three installments of the "Insidious" film franchise, as well as "The Hangover" alongside Bradley Cooper. He also made guest appearances on TV shows such as "ER", "How I Met Your Mother", "Criminal Minds", "Mad Men", and "The Middle". Additionally, he collaborated with Funny or Die, a company founded by Will Ferrell, working with content contributors Eric Apel and Adam Ray.
After filming "Insidious Chapter 2", Andrew's family decided it was time for him to take a break from acting and focus on his education. He attended The Buckley School from 8th to 12th grade, where he developed an interest in video production, stand-up comedy, and basketball. During this period, he also became a competitive gamer, ranking #1 on the North American leaderboards for three months in the game "Rainbow Six Siege". This gaming experience eventually led him to explore music composition and beat-making.
After high school, Andrew pursued a college education, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to leave campus. This unexpected turn of events allowed him to focus on music production, and he eventually transferred to the 1500 Sound Academy in Inglewood, CA. Since then, he has worked with numerous recording artists, musicians, writers, and producers.
Following his music school graduation, Andrew was called back to reprise his role as Foster Lambert in the feature film "Insidious 5". He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. The Astor family's lineage dates back to 1623, with roots in England, Germany, Northern Italy, and Spain.
