Angel Andres Garet Gutierrez was born on September 3rd, 1986, in Caracas, Venezuela, to Emilio Garet, a man of French and Spanish descent from Uruguay, and Beatriz Gutierrez, a Peruvian national. His parents divorced when he was just 12 years old, and his mother, Beatriz, took full custody of him and his sister. Following a few years of living in Caracas, they relocated to the United States in 2002 and settled in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Angel's childhood was marked by a strong passion for sports, particularly soccer. He played varsity soccer in high school and was an active member of a competitive soccer club. Upon graduating in 2006, he earned a full soccer and cross-country scholarship to attend South Georgia College, where he earned his Associates Degree in Science of Criminal Justice in 2010.
After completing his education, Angel returned to Charlotte to be closer to his family. His athletic physique, honed through years of playing sports, eventually caught the attention of the modeling industry. Within a year, he was represented by an agency, appearing in numerous runway shows, print jobs, and commercials. As he delved deeper into the world of modeling, he also began to develop an interest in acting and storytelling.
In 2012, Angel's desire to learn more about the entertainment industry led him to take as many classes as possible and seize any opportunities to learn the business. He was fortunate enough to land a role as an extra in the first Hunger Games movie, which was filmed in North Carolina. This experience sparked a deep passion for acting and storytelling within him.
As the year drew to a close, Angel knew he had to take a bold step and aim higher. He quit his job, packed his bags, and embarked on a cross-country journey with one destination in mind: Hollywood.
