Ann Codrington, sister to the illustrious Kenneth de Burgh Codrington, a prominent archaeologist and art historian whose work is still proudly displayed at the esteemed Victoria and Albert museum.
Tragedy struck Ann's life when she survived the sinking of the S.S. Persia, a torpedoed ship, while pregnant, on December 30, 1915. However, her joy was short-lived as she lost her mother in the devastating maritime disaster.
Despite this hardship, Ann went on to lead a fulfilling life in her retirement, devoting herself to a unique passion - breeding curly coated cats. Her expertise and dedication earned her a reputation as a respected judge at cat shows, solidifying her status as a pioneer in the feline community.
