Annie Karstens, a talented individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Phoenix, Arizona. She attended the Arizona School for the Arts, being part of the inaugural graduating class, where she honed her skills and laid the foundation for her future success.
Annie's passion for the performing arts led her to Valley Youth Theater, a renowned community theater that has nurtured the talents of notable actors such as Emma Stone, Jordin Sparks, and Chelsea Kane. She performed in numerous productions, including Grease, West Side Story, and the iconic role of Anne of Green Gables.
During her high school years, Annie juggled her love for theater with various jobs, showcasing her versatility and dedication. She worked at the local mall, scooping ice cream, in a paper factory, and even donned a poodle skirt to hostess at a popular 50s diner.
After completing her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Annie pursued a career as a newspaper reporter in New York City and back in her hometown in the West Valley of Phoenix. Simultaneously, she continued to act in short films and feature films within the Phoenix film community, earning her a collection of Best Actress awards at independent film festivals.
Her breakthrough role came when she was cast as a Principal character in Take Me Home Tonight, which was shot on location in Phoenix. This marked a significant turning point in her career, leading her to transition to Los Angeles and focus on acting full-time.
However, this transition was not without its challenges. Annie had to take on various jobs, including waiting tables and odd jobs, to make ends meet. Despite these obstacles, her passion for acting remained unwavering, and her career has since experienced a steady rise.
Today, Annie lives with her partner Steve, a motion graphics artist, and their son in Hollywood, where she continues to pursue her dreams and make a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
