Antonio V. Hernandez was born to a loving family, with his parents being Alfredo Hernandez and Lourdes Viana. His educational journey began at the Marulas Elementary School, where he received his elementary education, and later attended Espiritu Santo High School for his secondary education.
As he pursued his academic interests, Hernandez enrolled in the Mapua Institute of Technology to study Commerce. However, his true passion lay in the world of cinema. Under the pseudonym "Anthony Alonzo," he made his foray into the film industry, starring in numerous action movies throughout his career.
Some of his notable film appearances include "Muntinlupa 1950" (1958),"Target: Batang Sindikato" (1983),"The Fighting Mayor" (1983),"Intrusion: Cambodia" (1983),"Warren Balane" (1983),and "Manila Gangwar" (1984). Hernandez's outstanding performances earned him several awards and accolades.
He received the Best Actor award at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts & Sciences (FAMAS) for his role in "Bambang" (1982),and also won at the Metro Manila Film Festival for his performances in "Bago Kumalat Ang Kamandag" (1983),"Moises Padilla Story: The Missing Chapter" (1985),and "Anak Badjao" (1987).
Tragically, Antonio V. Hernandez passed away in the 1990s, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances on the big screen.
