Antony became a filmmaker and journalist in his native South Africa, documenting the anti-apartheid uprisings in the townships around Cape Town for International Press Syndicates AP and BBC.
He developed a raw, unaffected visual storytelling style that has since defined him.
Antony moved to the US and studied at the American Film Institute school in Los Angeles, a prestigious institution renowned for launching many esteemed filmmakers' careers.
He proved a quick study and soon embarked on a career as a commercial director, shooting award-winning commercials and web campaigns globally.
Antony has won major advertising awards at the Cannes Lion, Gold and Silver Lions, the London Film Festival, and the NY Clio Awards and ADDY awards.
He is renowned for his bold visual style, earning him a Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival for the iconic Super Bowl commercial "Clydesdales" for Budweiser, which is now part of a permanent collection at the New York Museum of Modern Art.
Some of his recent works, Fiat's X "blue bill" debuting on the annual Super Bowl, have been met with similar acclaim and awards in Europe and the US.
Antony's calling card is a bold mix of action storytelling with a distinct cinematic flair, and he has worked with multinational clients, athletes, and international campaigns featuring stars such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Antonio Banderas, Penelope Cruz, Idris Elba, and others.
He has evolved into a true hybrid director/cameraman and creative concept partner with clients, having worked directly with brands such as Mercedes Benz, Adidas, Heineken, and Vodafone.
Antony has been at the forefront of digital age filmmaking content and long-form storytelling, having crafted many campaigns directly with clients and being a pioneer in China, where he has built a solid collaborative relationship with major car manufacturers.
He has completed notable projects such as San Pellegrino's Global launch, Lamborghini's "Huracan" web film, and Toyota Avalon Web Series short film starring Idris Elba.
Antony is currently working on an ambitious feature film, "Fox Hunt," for 20th Century Fox, and a ten-part series, "The Keepers," set in the world of illegal animal poaching.
He is based in Los Angeles.
