Ashley has had a lifelong connection to the stage, commencing her journey at the tender age of two when she enrolled in her first dance class. For the next seventeen years, she devoted herself to mastering classical ballet and jazz, as well as other styles, under the guidance of her instructors.
As a natural progression from her dance training, Ashley began to explore the world of acting, earning her first starring role on stage at the age of eight. At fifteen, she was one of five hundred public school students selected to participate in the annual youth opera performance at Carnegie Hall, a prestigious honor that further solidified her passion for the performing arts.
Ashley's academic pursuits took her to The University of Texas at Arlington, where she studied Art History, Costume Design, and the Ancient World, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors in Art Direction. This interdisciplinary approach allowed her to develop a unique understanding of the subject, which she has since applied to various theatres and small production companies as a hobby.
During her college years, Ashley continued to dance and began to explore the world of film acting, focusing on the Meisner technique at The REACT Studio in Dallas. Simultaneously, she began to dabble in independent film, working on both sides of the camera while keeping her stage presence intact. Her involvement in the film school at her college led her to collaborate with fellow students, taking on various roles behind the scenes, including costuming, location scouting, casting, production design, and assisting her friend Chris Simpson in the editing bay.
In 2002, Ashley made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where she has since established herself as a talented stage actress. Her credits in the city include 'Dinah' in "The Philadelphia Story" and 'Jessica Welles' in "Communicating Doors" at The Long Beach Playhouses' Studio Theatre.
