Bart, a highly accomplished and skilled individual, earned his degree in 2009 from the reputable Herman Teirlinck Institute's theatre department, a renowned institution for the study and development of the performing arts.
Throughout his academic journey, Bart had the privilege of being mentored by a distinguished group of instructors, each a respected expert in their field. This esteemed faculty included Dora Van Der Groen, a celebrated actress and theatre director; Frank Focketyn, a talented actor and director with a long history of successful productions; Steven Van Watermeulen, a seasoned actor and director known for his versatility and range; Robby Cleiren, a highly respected actor and director with a deep understanding of the craft; Peter Gorissen, a talented actor and director with a passion for storytelling; Jan Bijvoet, a skilled actor and director with a keen eye for detail; and Stany Crets, a respected actor and director with a wealth of experience in the industry.
Under the guidance of these accomplished professionals, Bart had the opportunity to hone his skills and develop his craft, laying the foundation for a successful and fulfilling career in the world of theatre.
Bart's comprehensive training regimen included the pursuit of internships with esteemed theatre companies, thereby affording him the opportunity to hone his craft and gain valuable industry insight. Notably, he completed internships with Bad van Marie, a renowned theatre company led by the accomplished director AC Ransart, as well as Laïka, a highly respected troupe responsible for productions such as "Tot in de woestijn". Additionally, Bart's internship with Olympique Dramatique, a prominent theatre company known for its innovative approach, allowed him to work closely with the visionary director Adams appels. Even to this day, Bart maintains strong bonds with these influential companies, fostering a sense of continuity and mutual support that has been instrumental in his ongoing professional development.
Bart, along with a small group of fellow alumni, embarked on an extraordinary endeavour, co-founding the esteemed theatre troupe FC Bergman. This innovative collective went on to produce a plethora of captivating performances, including the critically acclaimed "De Thuiskomst", "Wandelen op de Champs Elysées", and the ambitious "300 el x 50 el x 30el". These remarkable productions garnered widespread recognition, earning the troupe prestigious accolades such as the Jong Theater Prijs van TAZ 2010, as well as a nomination for the 2010 Dutch Theatre Festival.
Notably, Bart's acting career has spanned beyond television, as he has made memorable guest appearances in various TV series, including Code 37, Aspe, LouisLouise, Super Acht, and Salamander.
In addition to his work on television, Bart has also made significant contributions to the world of cinema, starring in the feature film Adem, directed by Hans van Nuffel and released in 2010.
Moreover, Bart's extensive filmography also includes a leading role in Frank van Mechelen's feature film Groenten uit Balen, which was released in 2011.
