Bazz Hancher's film career began with a short film called The Deadwoods, created for a Halloween party with his cousin. This led to the formation of Dark Lantern Entertainments, which produced three more short films, including Loco 47 Rails of Death in 2005 and Christmas with Mr & Mrs Smith in 2006.
However, the company also made a short film called the Lemon Rose, which was added to IMDB in 2011, but was actually created in 2005. After Dark Lantern Entertainments disbanded, Bazz and his cousin went their separate ways.
Bazz then founded BSH Entertainments, which has continued to produce films alongside White Raven Films. BSH tends to produce darker films than its sister company. The first film produced by BSH was the 2007 short Joeys Garage, followed by the domestic violence short Liquid Sadness and the Kidderminster Killer.
In 2009, Bazz collaborated with Michael Walcott, Dave Stokes, and Kieron Hazel to form Widow Maker Productions, which created the short Bonjour Monsieur Trepas. This was intended to be a precursor to a feature film called The Widow's Curse, but the company did not survive beyond Trepas.
From Trepas, Bazz and his team developed a working relationship with FX artist Max Van Der Banks, who has worked on films such as The Dead 1 & 2. They went on to work together on Darkest Secrets in 2013.
After Trepas, Bazz founded White Raven Films with Michael Walcott and produced the gruesome short Leon's Broken Mind in 2010. He followed this up with the bio mockumentary The Rogue Filmmaker.
Between 2013 and 2014, Bazz and Mike made a couple of music videos and the gangster short Darkest Secrets. In 2013, Bazz released his first feature, the documentary Boars Head, about a local public house with independent bands, an art gallery, and eccentric customers.
Bazz then released Cibo di Violenza, a shockumentary made under the BSH Entertainment banner, with undercover blogger Mike Lima. In 2018, he completed the two-year production of the dark comedy horror White Goods with White Raven Films partner Michael Walcott and actor Richard Robotham, who played the lead character and co-wrote the project.
Today, Bazz remains the CEO of White Raven Films and BSH Entertainments, running both companies alongside Michael Walcott. They also operate LBM Video Distribution and White Raven Recordings on a non-profit basis, with all profits reinvested in their projects.
