Noted composer, author, violinist, and conductor, renowned for his contributions to the world of music, began his illustrious career with a stint selling violins in a prominent New York department store. This humble beginning laid the foundation for his future endeavors, as he went on to organize his own orchestra in 1922, securing a lengthy engagement at the esteemed Hotel Roosevelt in New York City.
Following his impressive performance at the Hotel Roosevelt, he embarked on a European tour, further solidifying his reputation as a talented musician. He had the privilege of touring alongside the legendary Maurice Chevalier, and his exceptional skills earned him a coveted spot on the radio airwaves for an impressive twenty-year period.
As a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) since 1934, he collaborated with an array of talented musicians, including Kenneth Casey, Al Goering, Walter Hirsch, and Maceo Pinkard.
