Rekhi then went on to produce the Independent Spirit Award-nominated film "Bomb the System", and direct the SXSW Audience Award-winning film "Waterborne".

Rekhi then returned to directing with "The Ashram", a spiritual thriller starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo, Kal Penn, and Radhika Apte, which was released by The Orchard.

His subsequent feature, "Watch List", was a crime thriller co-financed by Bron Studios and executive produced by XYZ Films. Rekhi's fourth film, "The Reunited States", is a documentary executive produced by Van Jones and Meghan McCain, which premiered on Amazon before its nationwide PBS broadcast in 2022. He is currently in post-production on "The Other Side", a documentary about a behavioral program for ex-cons, and is set to direct "Last Man In Tower", based on the bestselling book by Aravind Adiga, who also wrote "White Tiger", upon which the Netflix hit film is based.
