Benedict Sandiford, born on August 16th, 1973, at Newark-on-Trent, began his educational journey at Harrogate Grammar School.
As a teenager, he made his television debut in the series "Children's Ward", followed by appearances in various small screen dramas. However, he is likely most renowned for his role as Neil, the laid-back son of Gwen Taylor, in the sitcom "Barbara".
On stage, Sandiford has showcased his talents in productions such as "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, where he played the role of Gooper, and "The Lady in the Van" at Hull Truck Company, where he played an unwilling neighbour.
In the second decade of the twenty-first century, Sandiford relocated to Reading and became heavily involved in local theatrical projects, both as a writer and performer. He contributed to plays such as "Jacksons Corner", "Kaspar", and "Amelia", all of which focused on the town's history, as well as "The Great British Bump-Off", a whodunit described as a fusion of Miss Marple and Mary Berry.
Sandiford also penned and performed the one-man show "The Final Whistle", which explored the history of Reading's football club, at the Madejski Stadium, the club's home ground.
