Starting his career as a film editor under the guidance of producer John Daly, known for his work on blockbuster hits such as Terminator and Last Platoon, Benjamin rapidly ascended through the ranks to become an award-winning director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. His exceptional talents have been recognized globally, with each role earning him a plethora of prestigious awards.
His original screenplay, "What Ever Happened to Jonny Faith," serves as a testament to his storytelling prowess, having garnered over 30 festival awards. Not content with just writing, Benjamin took the reins to direct, produce, and edit the film adaptation, which went on to receive numerous accolades, including Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Narrative Short, Best Short of the Season, Platinum Award, Award of Excellence, Best Producer, Outstanding Achievement Award, Best Male Director, Best Indie Short Film, Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and multiple Best Actor Awards.
In September 2024, What Ever Happened to Jonny Faith swept the Independent Shorts Awards, earning Best Actress, Debbie Pollack, Best Actor, Frank Noon, Best First-Time Director, Benjamin Pollack, and Best Indie Short.
In 2019, Benjamin showcased his versatility with the release of the multi-award-winning documentary "Out Of Malibu," offering a poignant portrayal of the community's resilience during the Woolsey Fire. Featuring a captivating soundtrack from renowned artists such as Miley Cyrus and Joe Walsh, the documentary further solidified Benjamin's reputation as a filmmaker of note.
