The subject's athletic prowess is a testament to his exceptional abilities, which were evident from a young age. In his high school days in Canada, he excelled in the sport of boxing, earning the title of champion and qualifying for the Junior Olympics as a runner. However, it was basketball where he truly shone, earning a spot in the Olympic Games. Unfortunately, he was forced to forgo this opportunity due to his commitments to a struggling radio station in Vancouver, where he was one of three announcers working a 24-hour schedule. He was told that leaving would mean the end of his career, and this decision, he has said, was one of the most difficult he has ever had to make.
Despite this, he has continued to stay involved in sports, albeit in a more recreational capacity. He has had the unique experience of playing against the Harlem Globetrotters, although his team ultimately emerged on the losing end. He has also had the opportunity to play box lacrosse, a fast-paced and physically demanding sport popular in Canada. Today, tennis is the only sport he plays regularly, although he does enjoy the occasional game of golf or bar billiards, in which he is an expert. In fact, he has a table in his flat and is a member of two of London's most prestigious tennis clubs, Queens and Hurlingham.
Despite his accomplishments, he has expressed regret over not taking tennis more seriously and pursuing it as a professional career. Nonetheless, his passion for the sport remains strong, and he continues to enjoy playing and competing at a high level.
