Notably, she also took on the role of Lorelei Hills, a personality with dissociative identity disorder, on the same show from 2001 to 2002.
The backstory Chamberlin created for her character, Lorelei, inspired her to author the best-selling book "Lorelei's Guiding Light, An Intimate Diary", which was published by St. Martin's Press in 2002.
Chamberlin was born in Danville, Vermont, as the youngest of four children and the only girl. She was born with a congenital defect affecting her ureter tubes, which led to a significant portion of her early life being spent in hospitals. Furthermore, she suffered from petit mal, a form of epilepsy, during her childhood. Today, she attributes her strong work ethic and success to the valuable lessons she learned from overcoming adversity during her childhood.
As a young girl, Chamberlin developed a passion for dance, which led her to study at the renowned American Ballet Theater in New York. She went on to earn a nearly full scholarship to the NYU dance program and later honed her acting skills at HB studios and the prestigious William Esper Studios in New York City.
