Native to Seattle, Washington, Blu Mankuma later made Vancouver his permanent residence during the tumultuous era of the Vietnam War. Notwithstanding his imposing physical stature, standing at an impressive six feet tall and weighing 230 pounds, Mankuma exuded an effortless elegance on screen, swiftly garnering the attention of producers and directors alike. As a result, he amassed an impressive repertoire of credits across film, television, and theatre, solidifying his position as one of Canada's most prolific and in-demand actors.
Beyond his acting career, Mankuma is also a passionate musician, singer, songwriter, and stage actor. He has lent his voice to numerous radio voiceovers and appeared in a multitude of television commercials. Blu Mankuma and his family, including his sons Rene and Cusee, currently reside in Vancouver.
