Bonnie Piesse's journey in the entertainment industry began when she was just 14 years old. A friend of hers had secured an agent and was landing roles, which inspired Bonnie to follow suit. She successfully auditioned for her very first role, playing a trapeze artist in the Australian children's television show "High Flyers" in 1999. Bonnie took a six-month break from high school to film the show.
During her teenage years, Bonnie also developed a passion for music. She started playing the guitar at 14 and began writing her own songs. Her talent was soon recognized, and she won several prestigious songwriting awards. In 2002, Bonnie was selected, along with a handful of other high-achieving arts students from around Victoria, to perform in two "VCE-Season of Excellence" events, including one at the Melbourne Concert Hall.
Bonnie continued to work in Australian television, appearing in shows such as "Blue Heelers," "Stingers," "Horace & Tina," and "Last Man Standing." However, it was her role as Luke Skywalker's foster mother, Beru Whitesun, in the Star Wars prequels "Episode II - Attack of the Clones" (2002) and "Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" (2005) that brought her the most recognition.
Bonnie then made the move to Los Angeles, where she met Grammy-winning music producer Val Garay. Val introduced her to many world-class songwriters, including Eric Kaz, Bonnie Hayes, Jack Tempchin, and JD Souther.
Bonnie's debut album, "The Deep End," is set to be released in January 2011 on Big Deal Records. Her song "All I Have" was also featured on the CW network's show "Life Unexpected" in September 2010.
