Biography

oraB Todorovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, to a family of educators who originally hailed from Milanovac. Unfortunately, his father passed away during his childhood, and the family subsequently relocated to Arandjelovac. Todorovic's early life was marked by a move to Belgrade, where he attended secondary school and completed his military service.

Although he never initially harbored ambitions to pursue an acting career, Todorovic was inadvertently drawn to the profession due to his older sister Mira Stupica's already established presence in the field. He went on to study at the Belgrade Drama Arts Academy, where he was taught the craft by renowned instructor Jozo Laurencic alongside fellow students Ljuba Tadic and Slobodan 'Cica' Perovic.

Todorovic's first foray into the world of theatre was at the Belgrade Drama Theatre, followed by a four-year stint in Zagreb, where he performed in a range of significant roles and gained valuable experience. Upon his return to Belgrade, he joined the Atelje 212 troupe, where he took on roles in productions such as "Arsenic and Old Laces" by Kesselring, "Maratonci trce pocasnikrug" and "Radovan III" by Dusan Kovacevic, and "Cudo u Sarganu" by Ljubomir Simovic.

Todorovic's television career saw him appear in a number of notable series, including "Radjanje radnog naroda" (1969),"Ceo zivot za godinu dana" (1971),and "Diplomci" (1971). His work in film began with a debut appearance in "U mrezi" (1956),and he went on to collaborate with notable directors such as Goran Paskaljevic, Goran Markovic, and Slobodan Sijan.

Throughout the 1980s, Todorovic appeared in a range of films, including "Who's Singin' Over There?" (1980),"Montenegro" (1981),"Maratonci trce pocasni krug" (1982),"Balkan ekspres" (1983),"Balkan Spy" (1984),and "Time of the Gypsies" (1988) by Emir Kusturica, in which his exceptional talent was fully showcased.

Todorovic's stage presence was absent for nearly a decade, during which time he focused on his personal life. He made a triumphant return to the stage in the late 1990s with a performance in "Lari Tompson, tragedija jedne mladosti" by Dusan Kovacevic at the Zvezdara Theatre in Belgrade. In his later years, Todorovic divided his time between Prague and Belgrade, where he lived with his wife and three children.
