Brendan Gabriel Murphy is a multi-award winning filmmaker, proudly holding the title of co-founding member of AlteredState Entertainment. His impressive achievements as a Director have garnered recognition from esteemed publications such as Variety, Deadline, Rolling Stone Magazine, The HollywoodInterview, H-Magazine, and The Top 100 Indie Filmmakers In The World.
Murphy's groundbreaking short film, "SWERVE," starring Shiloh Fernandez and Juno Temple, won a total of five prestigious festival awards and secured three distribution deals. His feature film directorial debut, "#LUCKY NUMBER," starring Method Man and Tom Pelphrey, signed a worldwide distribution deal with Vision Films.
Brendan has also directed "HISTORY'S GREATEST HEISTS" starring Pierce Brosnan, which airs on the History Channel, and "UFO WITNESS" for Discovery+. His impressive portfolio also includes directing ad campaigns for KANE Watches in Europe and Asia, filming in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Kyoto, Japan.
In addition, Murphy co-directed branded content for NIKE Training, Amazon Prime Video, and Leyline Games. He has also directed NBC, FOX, and CBS Network campaigns, working closely with Series Regular TV stars and high-level Network Executives.
Murphy's upcoming film, "FLUXX," a psychological thriller co-written, produced, and directed, stars Tyrese Gibson and Shelley Hennig, and is set to release in theaters on May 30th, 2025. The film has already won 12 festival awards and has signed a North American distribution deal with The Forge.
Most recently, Brendan co-directed "THE TAILOR OF SIN CITY," which is currently streaming on AMC+. He also wrote and directed the western thriller "BLOOD BEHIND US," starring Michael Madsen and Jaime King, which is currently finishing post-production and set to release globally in 2026.
Furthermore, Murphy has a scripted TV Show, "THE GOOD HURT," in development with Live Nation Productions. He is set to begin production on his next feature film, "Nocturnal," a psychological horror, in Europe during the summer of 2025. Brendan is represented by Zero Gravity Management.
