Brian Edwards, a Philadelphia-born and raised individual, has made a name for himself as an up-and-coming actor based in New York City. He graduated from the prestigious Maggie Flanigan Studio Conservatory, honed his craft at the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied under the guidance of renowned instructors Anthony Vincent Bova, Eric Morris, and Robert X Modica.
Edwards' impressive resume boasts roles in critically acclaimed television series such as HBO's "The Wire" and CBS' "As The World Turns," as well as notable films like the 2007 biographical drama "American Gangster." He has also appeared in numerous independent films and stage productions, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
Despite initial nerves, Edwards persevered and caught the acting bug, never looking back. His dedication has led to recognition in various film festivals, including the New York Downtown Feature Film Festival, IndieFest/Iowa Film Festival, Red Rock Film Festival, and New Filmmakers New York. Before pursuing his acting career, Edwards was a defensive back for the Bowie State University Bulldogs football team and participated in track events, including the 100 meter, 200 meter, and 4x100. Although he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, he opted to forgo law school and instead chose to pursue his passion for acting in New York City.
