Bruce Dow, a non-binary actor and singer, has had a distinguished career in the entertainment industry. With a background in classical training, Dow has performed in a variety of roles on Broadway, including five featured roles. He has also had a long-standing relationship with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada, where he has appeared in leading roles for 12 seasons.
In addition to his work on stage, Dow has also made a name for himself in the world of cartoons, providing voices for popular shows such as Total Drama Island, Thomas and Friends, and Redwall.
During the pandemic, Dow took the opportunity to further his education, earning a Master's degree in InterCultural Psychotherapy and Multi-Faith Pscyhospiritual Care from the University of Toronto. He is now a practicing registered psychotherapist, specializing in the needs of performing artists.
Dow's education and training in acting and directing have taken him to various institutions, including the University of British Columbia, the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts, and private studies with renowned coaches such as Michael Shurtliffe and John Barton.
Born in Seattle and raised in Vancouver, Dow is a citizen of both the United States and Canada. He has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including four nominations and two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for his performances with Buddies in Bad Times Theatre Company in Toronto.
