Bruno Merle, a multifaceted French screenwriter and director, embarked on a remarkable cinematic journey by taking the reins of his inaugural short film, La fille des étoiles, in the year 1997. This pioneering endeavor marked the inception of a prosperous creative trajectory, as he proceeded to direct a succession of short films, including Immortelle in 1998 and Le tombeur, a collaborative effort with Olivier Abbou, in 1999. The subsequent year, Merle continued to refine his skills by directing the short film Plus que parfait in 2000. Additionally, he co-directed numerous commercials and videos with Olivier Abbou between 1999 and 2000, cultivating a sense of camaraderie and creative synergy between the two collaborators.
