Bryce Clyde Jenkins' life took a dramatic turn when he was just three years old, as his family relocated from New Orleans to Hollywood to support his father, Mykel Shannon Jenkins, in his pursuit of an acting career. Little did they know that Bryce would soon follow in his father's footsteps, setting the stage for a lifelong passion for the craft.
In 2008, Bryce landed his first leading role in the short film "My Homework Ate My Dog," marking the beginning of a successful acting career. He went on to appear in feature films such as "Easy A," "The To Do List," and "And One," which combined his love of basketball and acting. Bryce has also co-produced and starred in films written by his father, including "Off the Grid," "Two Wolves," "The Gods," and "The Gods 2: The Darkside."
Bryce's impressive resume includes a stint as the charming Dante on Disney's "Bunk'd," as well as appearances on TV shows such as "The Mayor of Kingstown," "The Michael Blackson Show," "CSI Miami," "The Mentalist," and Hallmark's "Have a Little Faith," "Perfect on Paper," and "The Watsons Go to Birmingham." In the latter, Bryce played 11-year-old Kenny Watson, whose emotional perspective tells the story of the historically factual 1963 Birmingham church bombings.
When asked about his greatest accomplishment, Bryce would likely point to his role as Travis Younger in Broadway's "A Raisin in the Sun," where he made his Broadway debut at just 13 years old alongside esteemed actors Denzel Washington, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Sophie Okonedo. Bryce treasures the experience and time spent in New York as unforgettable.
Recently, Bryce wrapped up filming for "Youn'G," a project he co-wrote and produced with his father, which tells the story of a young boy's journey to understand the meaning of family, friends, and love.
When he's not acting, Bryce enjoys playing basketball and watching movies. He also stays active by attending regular acting classes and pursuing his interests as a personal trainer and high school basketball referee.
