Carlos Velazquez, a talented individual with a strong background in screenwriting and acting, hails from the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts. After completing his studies, he ventured into the world of independent film production, amassing an impressive 15 years of professional experience.
Throughout his illustrious career, Velazquez has had the privilege of producing films that have graced the screens of top-tier film festivals worldwide. Notably, his film "The Lifeguard" starring Kristen Bell premiered in dramatic competition at the esteemed Sundance Film Festival, earning a nomination for Best Film. His impressive credits also include "Book of Love" starring Jason Sudeikis and Maisie Williams, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. This particular project was co-produced with the talented Jessica Biel and featured an original score by Justin Timberlake.
Most recently, Velazquez took on the role of Executive Producer for the film "Breach" starring Bruce Willis and Thomas Jane, and was also a primary financier for the project. Currently, he is busy producing "Long Gone Heroes" starring Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce, which is set to commence filming in Puerto Rico this fall.
The film will mark the launch of a strategic partnership with the Puerto Rican Government and Film Commission, aimed at building Coexistence Studios.
