Born and raised in Nashville, Cary Brothers' passion for music began at the tender age of thirteen, when he purchased his first guitar and started writing songs. This early start would lay the foundation for a successful music career that would span decades.
As he grew older, Cary's talents took him to Los Angeles, where he became a regular performer at the world-renowned Hotel Cafe. It was here that he gained national attention, with his song "Blue Eyes" being featured on the Grammy-winning, Platinum-selling "Garden State" soundtrack.
The success of "Blue Eyes" was just the beginning, as Cary went on to release four albums that would reach #1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart. He became one of the most-licensed singer-songwriters in film and television, with his songs featured in TV shows and movies such as "Grey's Anatomy," "The Vampire Diaries," "No Hard Feelings," and "Easy A." He has also performed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "The Late Late Show."
Cary's music has been featured in prominent publications such as Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, and Billboard Magazine. He has toured worldwide with artists such as Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, and Imogen Heap, and has also found success in the electronic dance music world, collaborating with Tiësto on a remix of his song "Ride" as well as an original song for Tiësto's album Kaleidoscope.
In 2018, Cary released his third full-length indie record, "Bruises," which featured the single "Crush" that went Top 5 on KCRW's influential "Morning Becomes Eclectic" program. In 2023, he appeared in the film "A Good Person," playing his single "Stardust" opposite Academy Award-nominee Florence Pugh.
