Benny Chan, also known as Chan Ho Man, is a multifaceted Hong Kong-based individual, born on October 7, 1969. He has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry, initially breaking into the scene in 1994 with a television commercial for Vitasoy.
Throughout his career, Chan has worked with TVB, starring in numerous television dramas, including the iconic roles of Duen Yu in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (1997),the Monkey King in Journey to the West II (1998),and Na-tsa in Gods of Honour (2001). As his popularity grew, he transitioned to working on mainland Chinese and Taiwanese television series, including the series drama The Holy Monk, where he played the main character, Holy Monk. This drama gained widespread acclaim and popularity in various countries.
Apart from his acting career, Chan is also a talented singer, having released several albums. His most notable song is the theme song for Journey to the West II (1998). He has also sung the theme songs for Dragon Love (1999),Gods of Honour (2001),Silver Mouse (2002),Qianlong Xia Jiangnan (2003),and A Pillow Case of Mystery (2006),as well as the subthemes for Journey to the West II, Anti-Crime Squad (1999),Silver Mouse, Vigilante Force (2003),and Qianlong Xia Jiangnan.
Chan's rendition of Chinese versions of two Pokémon songs has earned him several awards. In 2011, he married Lisa Jiang Lisha, a mainland Chinese model from Hunan, and they welcomed their daughter, Ya Ru Chan, on November 30, 2011.
