Charles Dale, a talented individual, was born in the charming coastal town of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, in the year 1963. His father, a passionate entrepreneur, owned a record shop in Tenby, which provided Charles with a unique childhood experience. Both his parents, being enthusiastic amateur actors, instilled in Charles a love for the performing arts.
After completing his formal education in 1979, Charles embarked on a journey to hone his skills in the theater industry. He landed a role as an assistant stage manager at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven, courtesy of a Youth Opportunity Scheme, and remained there for a year. During this period, he also had the opportunity to take on occasional acting roles, which further fueled his passion for the craft.
In 1984, Charles made his television debut in the series "Morgan's Boy." He went on to work consistently with the English Shakespeare Company, solidifying his reputation as a talented actor. His big break came in 1997 when he landed the role of the Chef in the popular television series "The Lakes." This marked a significant turning point in his career, as he began to receive more prominent roles.
In addition to his television work, Charles has also had the opportunity to perform on the West End stage and in various other productions. One of his most notable roles was that of Dennis in the long-running television series "Coronation Street," which he played for an impressive eighteen months. He has also appeared in the BBC series "Paradise Heights" alongside Neil Morrissey and Ralf Little, as well as its spin-off "The Eustace Bros." in 2003.
In recent years, Charles has continued to take on a wide range of roles, including parts in ITV's "Steel River Blues" and the children's series "Barking!" in 2004.
