Chelsie Preston Crayford is a multifaceted actress with a career spanning over three decades, marked by a plethora of productions and an impressive array of accolades.
She has garnered numerous awards, including a Logie for her outstanding portrayal of Tilly Devine in UNDERBELLY: RAZOR, and an AACTA for her work in The Code.
Most recently, she has appeared in a diverse range of projects, such as THE LUMINARIES, SAVAGE, BABY DONE, PANTHERS, the global hit series THE ROYAL TREATMENT on Netflix, and NUDE TUESDAY.
As a filmmaker, Chelsie has made a name for herself with her thought-provoking shorts. Her debut short film, HERE NOW, premiered in competition at the 2013 NZIFF, while her second short, FALLING UP, won the prestigious Best NZ Short award at NZIFF in 2018, and went on to be showcased at numerous film festivals worldwide.
Chelsie was a participant in the 2018 Script-to-Screen FilmUp programme, where she was mentored by acclaimed filmmaker So Yong Kim. She also attended the MIFF Accelerator, where FALLING UP screened in competition.
Her third short film, IMPOSTER, premiered at SF Shorts, where she won the Emerging Director Award, solidifying her reputation as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
