Born in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia, Chiu Keng Guan, a renowned film director, spent his formative years in this charming town, where the seeds of creativity and imagination were sown. After completing his education in graphic design, he furthered his studies in fine arts, laying the groundwork for a career that would be as eclectic as it was fascinating. Chiu's professional trajectory commenced with a stint at HVD Film Production, where he honed his skills in quality assurance, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors. However, it was his subsequent decision to enroll at the illustrious Beijing Film Academy that marked a pivotal turning point in his career, an institution renowned for having produced a plethora of celebrated filmmakers, including the acclaimed Zhang Yimou and Chen Kaige.
