Chloé Mons was born on December 1, 1972, in Lille, France. She is a French actress and singer, and the sister of Barnabé Mons, the leader of the psychedelic rock group Sheetah & Les Weissmullers.
Growing up in a family of musicians, Chloé was surrounded by music from a young age. She later became the muse of the American photographer Tom Sewell and married the singer Alain Bashung in 2001. The couple met while filming the music video La nuit je mens, and they recorded the Song of Songs, set to Rodolphe Burger's music, for their wedding. They have a daughter named Poppée.
Chloé has released several solo albums, including Chienne d'un seul in 2006, which she performed on stage during her husband's tour, La Tournée des grands espaces. Her second solo album, Par la rivière, was self-produced and released in 2009. She has also written and composed music for her third solo album, Walking, which was recorded in Kingston, New York, and produced by Malcolm Burn.
After her husband's death in 2009, Chloé published a diary-style book recounting his final hours, titled Let Go. The book was released in 2012 and was a tribute to her husband's memory.
In 2012, Chloé released a duet album with the guitarist Xavier Boussiron, titled Il Buio, which features covers of hits from the 1950s. She has also worked on several other projects, including a musical, Je n'ai rien contre le réveillon, and a film, American Diary, My California, and Mysore Express.
In 2016, Chloé released her eighth album, Alectrona, which combines rock 'n roll with classical chamber music. The album features 10 songs that she wrote and composed, and were produced by Blixa Bargeld.
Throughout her career, Chloé has been known for her unique blend of music and acting, and has worked with a variety of artists and musicians. She continues to be a respected figure in the French music and film industries.
