Prior to pursuing their passion for the arts, they embarked on a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a transformative experience that took them to Helsinki, Finland, from 1991 to 1993.
During this formative period abroad, they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, developing their language skills and broadening their perspectives in the process.
This international experience not only refined their linguistic abilities but also instilled in them a profound appreciation for the diversity of cultures that exist across the globe, a sense of wonder that has continued to inspire and guide them throughout their life's journey.
As they stepped foot back in their native land, they set out on a meticulous and ambitious artistic odyssey, indulging in a series of intensive training sessions with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, and further honing their skills at the illustrious Globe Theatre in London, all of which took place in the year 2002.
This rigorous educational experience was subsequently reinforced and elevated by the attainment of a Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing Shakespeare from the esteemed Exeter University, also acquired in the year 2002.

This odyssey of self-discovery and artistic growth commenced with a stint at the esteemed Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where they had the privilege of learning from and being shaped by the finest minds in the industry.
