Christa Miller's entrance into the entertainment industry was marked by a series of early appearances, beginning with her inclusion in a renowned photograph by Francesco Scavullo for an Ivory Snow advertisement alongside her mother at a tender age. This exposure was soon followed by a cover feature on "Redbook" magazine when Miller was just three years old, sparking an early interest in the world of acting.
However, her parents had other plans for her, with her father hoping she would pursue a law career and her mother, a former 1960s supermodel, being all too aware of the challenges and uncertainties that came with a career in entertainment. Despite these expectations, Miller's passion for acting persisted, and she went on to pursue a career in modeling, appearing in national magazines and working steadily in Europe and Japan.
As she grew older, Miller's ambitions shifted towards television and film, and she landed her first commercial at the age of 16 for Polaroid. Her first prime-time television role came in 1984 with a part on the popular sitcom Kate & Allie, which she auditioned for and secured without the assistance of her aunt, series co-star Susan Saint James.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles in 1990, Miller secured a guest role on the critically acclaimed television series Northern Exposure, followed by appearances on Seinfeld, Party of Five, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her film credits include Deceived, released in 1991, and Love and Happiness, released in 1995. Miller also starred alongside Kellie Martin in the highly acclaimed made-for-television movie Death of a Cheerleader, which premiered in 1994.
