Chris Hinton, a renowned animator, holds a teaching position in the esteemed Film program at Concordia University, situated in the vibrant city of Montreal, Canada. Throughout his illustrious career, Hinton has garnered a multitude of awards and accolades, having worked extensively with the National Film Board, where he has taken on various roles, including animator, writer, director, and producer, for over a dozen films. Additionally, he has collaborated with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and several prominent commercial animation studios.
In 1991, Hinton received his first Oscar nomination for his highly acclaimed and entertaining animated film, Blackfly (1991),which showcased his exceptional ability to craft humoristic and engaging stories. His subsequent nomination in 2004 was for a deeply personal and visually striking short film, Nibbles (2003),which demonstrated his versatility and skill as an animator.
