Christopher Nolen is the founder of Nferno Productions, a production company he established in 1998. He has built a reputation for creating positive and entertaining content for minorities and global audiences. As a director, Nolen has worked on several feature-length films, including "Deep Passion," "Subtle Seduction," "The Good Life," "Four Seasons," and "72 Hours."
Nolen's film "The Good Life" was released nationwide on July 16, 2013, and it premiered on BET on January 16, 2014. The film received high ratings and reviews, and it continues to have a recurring monthly slot on the network. The film stars Tangi Miller, Richard Gallion, Christian Keyes, Maya Gilbert, and Mari Morrow.
Nolen's second feature film, "Four Seasons," was released nationwide on April 1, 2014. The film stars Robin Givens, Keith Robinson, Christian Keyes, Jazsmin Lewis, and Mel Jackson. "Four Seasons" was shot entirely in Chicago in July 2013.
Nolen is currently in post-production with his latest film, "72 Hours," which features a star-studded ensemble cast, including Timon Kyle Durrett, Erica Hubbard, Harry J. Lennix, Terri J. Vaughn, Brian Hooks, Cynda Williams, Tangi Miller, Brely Evans, and Chyna Layne.
In addition to his work in film, Nolen is also developing two new feature-length films, "Zodiac Sign" and "Lustful Decisions." He is passionate about writing, directing, and producing films, and he is looking to expand his talents into television.
Before becoming a filmmaker, Nolen graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Theatre. He then went on to earn his Master's degree in Mathematics from National Louis University and his Master's degree in Educational Administration Leadership from Governors State University. While pursuing his degrees, Nolen taught high school and junior high in the Chicago Public School System.
Nolen began his career in the entertainment industry as a model in the Chicagoland area, which eventually led him to acting and then writing, producing, and directing. He has written most of his films, but he has also found success as an Executive Producer.
