As the calendar year 2006 slowly came to a close, Roberts' attention began to turn towards the special effects-heavy science fiction Viking-themed film project, Outlander, which boasted an impressive cast including Jim Caviezel, Sophia Myles, and Jack Huston, with acclaimed director Howard McCain at the helm. The commencement of principal photography for this highly anticipated production took place on October 16, with the shoot slated to continue through January 2007 in the picturesque province of Nova Scotia. Furthermore, Roberts is set to assume the role of Executive Producer on the forthcoming film, Black Water Transit, which is scheduled to begin filming in the vibrant city of New Orleans in January 2007.
