Suyash Sharad Pandey, professionally known as Chunky Pandey, was born on September 26, 1962, in the city of Bombay, India, in a household that was not involved in the film industry. Little did anyone know that this ordinary beginning would eventually lead to a remarkable journey in the world of cinema.
Chunky Pandey, or Chandrakant Pandey as he is also known, first gained recognition with a supporting role in the 1989 film 'Tezaab', which starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. This marked the beginning of his successful career in secondary and supporting roles, although he has yet to establish himself as a leading hero.
After tying the knot with Bhavna in 1998, Chunky Pandey made the bold decision to venture into Bangladeshi cinema, despite having no knowledge of the language. His voice was dubbed in these films, and he achieved significant success, further cementing his status as a versatile actor.
The arrival of two daughters prompted Chunky Pandey to make a comeback to Bollywood in 2002, and he has since appeared in over a dozen movies. Throughout his illustrious career, he has acted in more than 55 films and has been nominated once for his supporting role in 'Tezaab'.
In addition to his acting career, Chunky Pandey is also involved in a business called 'Bollywood Electric', which hosts stage shows. He and his wife Bhavna have also established a health food restaurant in Mumbai, India.
