Claire Chazal, a multifaceted French personality, was born on December 1, 1956. Her impressive career spans various roles, including journalist, romance writer, and former director of news at a prominent national television station, TF1.
From 1991 to 2015, she held the position of weekend news anchor at TF1, delivering her final broadcast on September 13, 2015. Anne-Claire Coudray, a frequent substitute for Chazal, took over as her replacement.
In addition to her news anchoring duties, Chazal hosted Reportage at 1.30pm, a program that aired following the news, from 2010 to 2015.
Prior to her television career, Chazal was the host of Je/nous de Claire, a talk-show on the gay television channel Pink TV, which she helped establish in 2004. The show's title pays homage to Le Genou de Claire, a French film known in English as Claire's Knee.
