Corentin Fila was born on September 28, 1988, in the vibrant city of Paris, France. His mother, a specialized teacher, and his father, David-Pierre Fila, a documentary filmmaker of Congolese origin, nurtured a rich cultural environment during his childhood. His godfather, renowned singer Zao, further enriched his upbringing. As a teenager, Corentin attended an ES baccalaureate and later earned a bachelor's degree in economics. His life took an unexpected turn when he was discovered by the Elite agency while modeling. This chance encounter led to his independence through modeling, and eventually, he found himself drawn to the world of comedy.
The catalyst for his artistic journey occurred in 2012, when he attended a performance of Peter Brook's The Suit at the Bouffes du Nord Theater, featuring South African actors. Struck by the artistic fiber of the performance, Corentin enrolled in the free class at Cours Florent. During his first casting, he caught the attention of renowned director André Téchiné, who offered him the role of Tom, a teenager repressing his homosexuality, in the 2016 film When We Are 17 Years Old. This role earned him a César nomination for Best Male Prospect, alongside his co-star Kacey Mottet Klein.
