Cotton Yancey, a native of Mississippi, has been immersed in the entertainment industry since his childhood days. His journey in the entertainment business spans several decades, with a significant portion of his career unfolding in the late 1960s and early 1970s at the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss.
As a recording artist, Cotton found immense success in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, releasing music under the prestigious labels of United Artist, Copa Records, and Southpaw Records. His impressive music career laid the foundation for his subsequent foray into the professional rodeo business, where he worked as a horseback announcer for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) from the late 1980s onwards.
A testament to his versatility and dedication, Cotton decided to return to academia at the age of sixty-five, earning a degree in Film and Video Technology. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career, as he began to make a name for himself in the film industry, accumulating numerous credits as a film actor in feature films since 2013.
