Here is the biography of Craig:
Craig's journey as a full-time entertainer began at a young age. He knew that he wanted to make a career out of entertaining people and impacting their lives. At 16, he started learning puppetry at "Puppets in the Park" on the Gold Coast in Australia under the guidance of Gerta Pinter. This experience led him to see some of the world's best mime artists, including Marcel Marceau and Philippe Genty.
Craig also received acting coaching from famed Australian actress Elizabeth Ryan. He went on to perform in amateur theatre productions across the Gold Coast, appearing with notable companies such as "Spotlight Theatre Company," "Tugun Theatre Company," and "Gold Coast Little Theatre."
In his early twenties, Craig took on various jobs to make ends meet, including working as a cleaner, door-to-door orange juice salesman, spruiker, newspaper salesman, truck counter, maintenance man, and mop salesman.
In 1990, Craig auditioned for Paul Sharratt's live performance Christmas production "The Glory of Christmas," where he played the principal character of King Herod. This led to Paul recommending Craig for a role at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast as a magical entertainer.
Craig spent nearly three years working as a magician in the magic shop at Warner Bros. Movie World, where he performed illusions and was eventually contacted by the producers of the movie Street Fighter (1994) to supply his illusions for the film. He also acted as a magic advisor for the film, helping the cast with their magic scenes.
After his success in Street Fighter, Craig appeared as the opening act for Pat Boone's 1994 Australian concerts and was soon receiving offers from around the world to perform his illusion show. However, due to personal reasons, he decided to stay home and continue learning his acting craft.
Craig then landed a successful three-year stint as "Pirate Pete" at Wet'n'Wild Water World, where he presented three shows a day, including a pirate show, magic show, and hosted a speed slide stunt show. He also created numerous roving characters and worked a seven-day week.
In 1997, Craig retired from entertainment and worked as a car park attendant for two years before returning to the industry. Upon his return, he received numerous offers from the corporate circuit, including close-up magic, show hosting, and character performance.
Craig then started learning balloon twisting and film making, and began performing as his balloon character "Happy Sunshine the Balloon Man." He also started his own company, World Stage Promotions Pty Ltd, and began appearing locally as a balloon twister and magician.
Craig joined a local film making group, S.T.A.R.S., and was warmly received. He played the role of the "Sheriff" in the film Hot Rod Girls From Hell (2005) and went on to play roles in a string of TVCs, feature films, and television shows.
Craig's ability to play great characters is his trademark, which can be seen in performances such as Girl Clock! (2010),God Bless Daddy (2010),Still Waters (2011),Phoenix Rising (2016),Beyond Redemption: Space Captain (2014),Frenzy (2015),and many more.
In 2015, Craig was asked by Lynton V. Harris to appear alongside Tony Bonner in a film for a scare attraction on the Gold Coast for theme park Dreamworld. This led to him being cast in Garrison 7: The Road To Garrison 7 (2015) and appearances on Juiced TV (2015) as a magician and the yearly Christmas edition as Santa.
In 2016, Craig appeared in a number of short films based around his hectic public performance schedule and as 2017 started, he was in talks with Angel Studios to appear in their next project.
At just 45, Craig is a "in demand" actor, enjoying his ability to transform performances and characters. When not in front of the cameras, he is busy with performance duties and promotional business "World Stage Promotions."
