Crescenzo Giacomo Notarile, a multifaceted individual with a rich background, hails from Palermo, Sicily, but was raised in Graves End, Brooklyn, New York. Over the past 35 years, he has maintained a bi-coastal lifestyle, dividing his time between Los Angeles, California, and Soho, New York.
Notarile's professional journey is marked by his membership in several prestigious organizations, including I.A.T.S.E. Local 600, the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC),the Association of Italian Cinematographers (AIC),the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS),and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS).
Throughout his illustrious career, Crescenzo has garnered numerous accolades, including a National Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography for "Opening Teaser" and an Emmy nomination for Best Achievement in Cinematography for "One Hour Drama" for Gotham. He has also received two ASC Award nominations for Best Cinematography.
Notarile's impressive credentials also include being a recipient of Canon's esteemed "Explorer of Light" Award and a nominee for the I.A.T.S.E. "Billy Bitzer Award". Additionally, he is a Fine Art Photographer, with a book recently published by Cinematic Pictures Publications.
As a photographer, Crescenzo has won numerous awards, including the Master Cup Annual Photography Awards, Black and White Spider Awards, International Color Awards, PX3 Public Choice Awards, Prixe de La Photographie Fine Art Awards, and the International Lucie Awards.
One of his most notable works is the "911 Mural", which is permanently displayed at the 911 Memorial Archive Museum of the City of New York.
Notarile has also directed and photographed numerous music videos for renowned recording artists and commercials for top Advertising Agencies worldwide. For the past several years, he has been involved with the Star Trek franchise, shooting both domestically and internationally.
