Curtis Harrison's life has been a fascinating journey, with a profound connection to the entertainment industry that spans most of his life. From his school days, he was always drawn to anything related to theatre and television, fostering a passion that would eventually become his life's work.
After completing high school, Curtis attended Niagara College for a semester, majoring in science, but ultimately decided that it wasn't the right path for him. Instead, he chose to pursue a life dedicated to the entertainment industry, inspired by his experiences while traveling for a year. During that time, he worked as a glassier in the Cayman Isles, installing glass and taking on odd construction jobs.
However, it was during his stay on the Island that Curtis stumbled upon the Cayman Drama Society, and although he was too busy working to participate in productions, he decided to lend his skills to the group by working backstage on one of their productions. After leaving the Island, Curtis continued to travel, visiting Cuba, Vermont, New York, and various parts of Canada, including British Columbia, before eventually settling in Toronto.
Once in Toronto, Curtis enrolled in several acting programs, including those at George Brown, Ryerson, York, and Humber Colleges, but was offered a part in a touring show for five months, which he decided to take on a gut feeling. Since then, Curtis has been based in Toronto, where he has established himself as an award-winning actor with numerous theatre and film credits to his name.
Throughout his career, Curtis has not only acted in numerous productions but has also worked behind the scenes on many projects, including those involved in Chalmers and Dora Mavor Moore award-winning productions. His recent stint with the Michael Group in New York further expanded his experience and skills.
As an actor, writer, and producer, Curtis has been involved in all aspects of production, allowing him to gain valuable insights into the industry. For the past few years, he has been writing, aiming to create some exciting Canadian content for a successful television series. With his extensive experience and confidence in his decisions, Curtis is poised to continue making a significant impact in the entertainment industry.
