Dale Gilbert Jarvis is a multifaceted individual, serving as a storyteller, author, and folklorist, with a strong connection to Newfoundland, Canada.

During the day, he takes on the role of Executive Director for the Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, dedicating himself to safeguarding traditional culture within communities. His academic background is impressive, boasting a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology/Archaeology from Trent University and a Master of Arts in Folklore from Memorial University.

Throughout his career, Dale has demonstrated his commitment to preserving cultural heritage by serving as a past president of the Newfoundland Historic Trust and contributing as a board member and volunteer to numerous local arts and heritage organizations. He also regularly shares his expertise by teaching workshops on oral history, cultural documentation, heritage, and public folklore.

As the proprietor of the St. John's Haunted Hike ghost tour, Dale showcases his skills as a raconteur, regaling audiences with ghost stories, tales of fairies and little people, stories of phantom ships and superstitions, and legends and traditional tales from Newfoundland, Labrador, and beyond.
