An Egyptian filmmaker with a multifaceted career, this individual's journey began with a bachelor's degree in film directing from the prestigious Higher Institute of Cinema in 1967. Unbeknownst to many, his childhood aspirations lay not in the world of cinema, but rather in the realm of journalism. However, fate had other plans, and he soon found himself working as an assistant director on various films, including "Who Lost His Shadow" under the guidance of Kamal Sheikh and "Illusions of Love" under the direction of Mamdouh Shukri.
As his passion for storytelling and social commentary grew, he began to focus on creating documentary films that showcased the complexities of city life and its inhabitants. His notable documentary works include "The Wise Will of a Wise Man in Village Affairs" and "Education" in 1976, "Work in the Field" in 1979, and "On People, Prophets, and Artists" in 1980.
