Here is Darlene's biography:
Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Darlene grew up on a Canadian Armed Forces Base with her parents, an engineer father, and a stay-at-home mother, and seven siblings. She developed a love for horses, dogs, and country life from a young age, spending her childhood on a small town outside of Base Borden.
As a junior high school student, the family relocated to East York in Toronto, where Darlene worked part-time as a hostess and waitress, while also pursuing her interests in cheerleading, gymnastics, and track field. She also studied modern jazz and dance ballet with Lenny Gibson studios and began vocal training with Amanda Ambrose, and trained as a model with Judy Welch Modeling Agency.
After graduating, Darlene began traveling the world as a Flight Attendant with Wardair Canada, which gave her the opportunity to continue her equestrian training in Great Britain, Europe, North Africa, and the United States. Her experiences as a Flight Attendant exposed her to diverse cultures, unique people, and new traditions, and she developed a sense of independence.
Years later, while still flying around the world, Darlene began volunteering at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, which led to her becoming a Surrogate Parent at the hospital and eventually adopting a healthy and joyful baby boy as a single parent.
Darlene retired from flying and began her career as a Union actor after an unexpected introduction to Second City and stand-up comedy. She gave birth to her second son and prioritized being the best parent possible for her growing sons, while also working part-time as a Private Investigator, Drive Test Examiner, and Catering Supervisor.
Now that her sons are adults and living independent lives, Darlene has moved out of the city and closer to her beloved horses. She keeps fit, healthy, and balanced with her Cairn Terrier, her 800 c.c. Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle, and her love for horses. Darlene is fulfilled by her solid commitment to her craft and being a strong and passionate actor of 30 years.
