David C. Bunners, a renowned producer, was one of the three creative minds behind the 2009 Academy Award-winning short film "Spielzeugland", also known as "Toyland". His brother Johann Bunners initially conceived the idea for the film and collaborated with the director to write the script, while David also took on a starring role in the short film.
Born on February 11th, 1966, David was the eldest of four siblings, consisting of two sisters and his brother. He pursued his passion for acting at the University of Film and Television Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1986 to 1989.
David's acting career began with the lead role in the film "Grown up as from today" (DEFA 1985),directed by Gunther Scholz. However, he left the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in the autumn of 1989 to settle in Western Germany, where he secured acting engagements from 1990 to 1996 at various theaters in Kassel, Bonn, Heidelberg, and the Schauspielhaus Hamburg (1993-1996).
Since 1996, David has established himself as a prominent actor in both film and television, with an impressive repertoire of over 80 national and international productions to his name. In 2009, he co-founded "Davidvs. Goliath Films", solidifying his position as a talented and versatile creative force in the entertainment industry.
