David Gabriel Benjamin Brown was born in 1977 in Illinois, where he was raised in Michigan as the oldest of four children. His early years were marked by a desire to explore a wide range of subjects, including music and theology, during his initial stint in college. However, his academic pursuits were interrupted when he decided to join the U.S. Army, where he served active duty for an undisclosed period of time.
After completing his military service, David returned to his academic pursuits, this time focusing on film production, direction, and writing. He spent several years honing his craft, eventually accepting a job as a restaurant manager in order to make ends meet. Despite the stability and security that came with this position, David's passion for filmmaking never truly wavered, and he continued to pursue his creative endeavors on the side.
In 2007, David made the bold decision to leave his restaurant management job behind and dedicate himself full-time to his acting career. He began landing small roles in independent short and feature films, and eventually signed on with two agencies in the Detroit, Michigan area to help further his career.
As his acting career continued to grow, David began to feel drawn back to his roots as a writer and director. He decided to attend The Motion Picture Institute of Michigan, located in Troy, Michigan, in order to learn from industry professionals and gain a deeper understanding of the filmmaking process.
Today, David's acting career continues to thrive, with recent credits including the film "Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead" and the AMC television show "Low Winter Sun", where he played the role of Theo. Throughout his journey, David has remained committed to his craft, always seeking out new opportunities to challenge himself and grow as an artist.
