The acting bug bit him firmly during his junior high school years, when he had the opportunity to attend an acting workshop at a nearby university, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for the stage that would remain a constant presence throughout his high school and college years.
David's early years as a high school student marked the beginning of his journey in the world of professional theatre, as he joined a small yet prestigious company in Boston, thus providing him with a unique opportunity to refine his acting skills and gain valuable experience.
During this period, he was fortunate enough to share the stage with esteemed institutions, including the Harvard Drama Club and the Tufts University Summer Theatre, allowing him to rub shoulders with and learn from some of the best in the business.
David's academic pursuits led him to Brandeis University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree, which provided him with a well-rounded education in the dramatic arts, encompassing a wide range of disciplines and techniques.
Moreover, he had the privilege of studying playwriting under the guidance of renowned playwright Israel Horovitz, who is widely recognized for his contributions to the world of theatre, thus giving David a unique opportunity to hone his writing skills and gain valuable insights into the craft of playwriting.
Following his relocation to Raleigh, North Carolina in the mid-1980s, David has successfully established himself as a multifaceted performer, consistently working across a wide range of mediums, including but not limited to film, television, stage productions, industrials, and commercials, thereby demonstrating his versatility and adaptability as an artist.
